ঈদ এসেছে দুঃখ দিতে
গরিবের মনে
ধনী সবাই সাজবে নতুন
বেশভূষণে ॥
জবাই করবে গরু-খাসি
ধনীর মুখে ফুটবে হাসি
গরিব কাঙাল উপবাসী
কাঁদবে গোপনে ॥
বসত করে ভাঙা ঘরে
অর্ধাহার-অনাহার করে
ছিঁড়া বসন অঙ্গে পরে
দুঃখের দিন গনে ॥
দেখে এই বৈষম্যনীতি
ভালো নয় মতিগতি
করিমের দুঃখের আরতি
কেবা তা শোনে ॥
