আসে রজনি, সন্ধ্যামণির প্রদীপ জ্বলে।
ছায়া-আঁচল-ঢাকা কাননতলে॥
তিমির দু-কূল দুলে গগনে
গোধূলি-ধূসর সাঁঝ-পবনে,
তারার মানিক অলকে ঝলে॥
পূজা-আরতি লয়ে চাঁদের থালায়
আসিল সে অস্ত-তোরণ নিরালায়।
ললাটের টিপ জ্বলে সন্ধ্যাতারা,
গিরি-দরি-বনে পেরে আপনহারা,
থামে ধীরে বিরহীর নয়নজলে॥
