রেশমি চুড়ির তালে কৃষ্ণচূড়ার ডালে
পিউ কাঁহা পিউ কাঁহা ডেকে ওঠে পাপিয়া।
আঙিনায় ফুল-গাছে প্রজাপতি নাচে,
ফেরে মুখের কাছে আদর যাচিয়া॥
দুলে দুলে বনলতা কহিতে চাহে কথা,
বাজে তারই আকুলতা কানন ছাপিয়া।
শ্যামলী-কিশোরী মেয়ে
থাকে দূর-নভে চেয়ে,
কালো মেঘ আসে ধেয়ে
গগন ব্যাপিয়া॥
