চলো সখী জল নিতে
চলো ত্বরিতে।
শ্রান্ত দিনের রবি
ডোবে সরিতে॥
ঘিরিছে আঁধার
তটিনি-কিনার,
গোধূলির ছায়া পড়ে
বন-হরিতে॥
ধেনু-ডাকা বেণু বাজে
বংশীবটে,
পাখি ওড়ে, আঁকা যেন
আকাশ পটে।
বধূ ঘাটে যায়
বঁধু পথে চায়,
চিনি চিনি বাজে চুড়ি
গাগরিতে॥
