পাখি আমার নীড়ের পাখি অধীর হল কেন জানি—
আকাশ-কোণে যায় শোনা কি ভোরের আলোর কানাকানি।
ডাক উঠেছে মেঘে মেঘে, অলস পাখা উঠল জেগে—
লাগল তারে উদাসী ওই নীল গগনের পরশখানি।
আমার নীড়ের পাখি এবার উধাও হল আকাশ-মাঝে।
যায় নি কারো সন্ধানে সে, যায় নি যে সে কোনো কাজে।
গানের ভরা উঠল ভরে, চায় দিতে তাই উজাড় করে—
নীরব গানের সাগর-মাঝে আপন প্রাণের সকল বাণী।
