ধায় যে ওরা নানা কাজে।
আমি কেবল বসে আছি, আপন মনে কাঁটা বাছি
পথের মাঝে সকাল-সাঁজে।
এ পথ বেয়ে
সে আসে, তাই আছি চেয়ে।
কতই কাঁটা বাজে পায়ে, কতই ধুলা লাগে গায়ে—
মরি লাজে সকাল-সাঁজে।
